Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I got my speaker brackets from bigblock73 and put them in. I welded the bottom brackets to the floor instead of drilling holes and mounting them that way. I had to put a little more angle on the floor brackets to make them fit flush with the floor. All in all I am pleased with how the install went and the quality of the brackets. If you are thinking of getting these, You won't be disappointed. I will remove them and clean and paint the inside of the cab corner. I will also put Dynamat through out the cab and re-install these. I'm gonna use my Sony Xplode 6x9s in these.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I got the truck out of the basement for some clean up and givin her some sun. I got the filler smoothed out. I have some places that are a little low so I'll hit them with a little more. Some worked out good so I'll prime them. I installed the voltage regulator onto the firewall. And yes that means I'll be using the old original alternator/regulator setup. Its has worked on these trucks for 45 years so thats good enough for me. I cleaned up the dust cover for the tranny and installed that. You all know what that looks like so I didn't get a pic. Its plastic and black haha.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

The pic from the back makes it look like a bob er.

I did the same thing today , unloaded the garage , got the wife's 65 in the sun so all the rubbers from the windows seal up tight.

Sweet Chuck! Unfortunately I did not get to do any truck stuff this weekend, I just got back from Knoxville helping my sister-in-law move into her new apartment.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Yeah me too lol. I just point and shoot. I did pick up some plug wires today and I primed a few spots. And I worked a few more and puttied. I marked some spots on the pass. side on the back of the cab and pass. door. I need to go get those dura blocks so I can get the panels as close to perfect as I can.

There are some sneak peak pics of it in my current ride album in my profile. I still have to get the wife 65 done first.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Thats cool! I dig it lol.

I got some stainless screws for my door mirrors from a member of the board from Canada. They got here sooner than I expected. I also just bought some 68 GMC full wheel covers over on the parts board. Keeping my options open.
