Half inch shorter in rear...ANY SOLUTIONS
Hello everybody I got a 1972 C20 with a completed 3/5 Drop with a Coil Rear. After install I measured the drop the rear measured half inch shorter than the rear. being a just finished drop should I wait and see if the front end settles or try to raise the rear. And besides changing out the springs to a taller springs any other methods of raising it at least 1in. any help would be appreciated.. thanks again

I would run it like it is and let it settle.
For an extra inch in the rear you could flip the trailing arm mounts on the center cross member. It will help with pinion angles and increase traction on the rear. On the other hand it is argued it raises the rear about 7/8 of an inch. read here about flipping mounts: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=496411

Re: Half inch shorter in rear...ANY SOLUTIONS
make sure your front springs are in the exact position up top. if they arent, you could be higher in the front because the spring isnt seated right.
