67 fenders & doors on 72 cab

I got the notion I kinda messed up here. I have a 72 cab, cowl panel and hood. My 72 fenders were shot so I scored some 67 fenders and doors that we're mint and was intending on using these.

What I'm concerned about is whether or not everything is gonna work together. (overall look) Bought the fenders & doors on a limb since they were a steal. But are they gonna work? I'm still new to this...and I might be totally fine but its concerning me as I don't want to have to buy new fenders and doors again, or fix the ones I have.

Thanks

The 67 fenders do not have the cut out for the grill shell. They will bolt on but your 72 grill will not fit right. The doors will bolt up but you will not be able to use your 72 door panel without swapping your window regulator and door handle assembly.

Thanks for the quick reply. My 72 grille is toast so I'll be swapping over to the 67 grille. I was mostly concerned with the hood matching up. I know the 67/68 have slant nose hoods and the 69+? have a more pronounced hood nose. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's right. If I'm not mistaken, you will need a 67-8 core support and hood, or it will look like your hood is partially open all the time.

Ditto on what cubber said. Youre still gonna have to spend a few more bucks but it will be worth it. I have a '68 chevy parts truck and I intend to switch the whole front clip in the future with a '71 or '72 shortbed.

Re: 67 fenders & doors on 72 cab

So i'm gonna need a 67/68 core support as well you say? No way to modify it or make it work as is? Only reason I ask is that parts are rare up here especially good ones and shipping is ungodly for oversized items to my Igloo.

If I need a new core support I may just build a custom one as I plan on swapping over an LSx motor with all its goodies from a wrecked NBS.

The headlight buckets sit farther outward on 67/68s. It would take some work, but you could relocate the mounts on your '72 support if that's more practical than buying & shipping the 67/68 one
