My 79 dually (again)

Hello all we'll I've been n here before right after I bought the truck earlier this year. It was stock with some flow master exhaust canisters and a set of 16" alcoas. Since I have done quite the mods. To include one helluva rollercoaster of a hack job on my first attempt at getting bags installed. I did have a thread started but can't seem to find it. Maybe I didn't look hard enuf. Anywho, I have a build over on dually scene started but figured I would come over here and finish what I started for those that may be interested.

Enjoy!

When I picked her up

Re: My 79 dually (again)

As she sits now. Like I said I've done quite the changes since my last visit. Street scraper 4 linked rear installed. 3" drop spindles up front. 7 switch set up. Also pulled all the badges and fender trim off and filled all the holes. Also repaired minor dents and scratches. Got the adapters and installed a set of milled semis 22s. All four are in the rear I went ahead and extended the fenders 4" to account for the four 22s in the rear. Changed the clearance
Lights up top installed a tranny cooler. That truck already had suburban bumpers on it when I got her. Also installed bucket seats up front from a 97 Tahoe. With the center console. Audio is a W7 13.5" sub with a d series 1200watt jl amp. I put the box in the bed and. It out the cab so it's flush with the rear wall of the can. I'm currently making a shadow wall for the amps to attach to and just to clean up the wall on the back of the can. I think that's about it. Engine is stock for now. I had to have the tranny rebuilt it had quite the leak! I'll post more pics later.

Re: My 79 dually (again)

As unlikely as it is i had no direct contact with them other than the kit taking about two weeks to get in, it wasnt bad. One in a million i suppose..

Re: My 79 dually (again)

Well im goin thru the truck's body and makin sure im not missing anything and sanding areas i didnt get before. Ill be doin a two-toned paint job. Top will be white with pearl flake and the bottom will be metallic grey. A darker shade of grey. You would think it would be easy to choose a color. But man it took me two weeks to finally decide. Ill be posting some pics up later i jusf have her taped off on one side and the wind shield. Taping off is a job in itself!

Re: My 79 dually (again)

You can see at the front I didn't line up the hood and the fender when I taped the fenders off. So I gotta go back and re paint the white/pearl on those. Lil things take the most time!!

Well here is the product as of right now. I just did a wet sand of the truck and will spray another coat of grey and white, then three coats clear.
