Parchment vinyl paint?

I always seem a day late and a dollar short when parchment door panels get posted in the classifieds--my driver's side is a disaster. Digging through all my stuff today I realized that the spare burb doors I have still have pretty nice door panels with the exact pattern as my '70 burb, except they're olive green instead of parchment. I see people use SEM vinyl paint sometimes, any idea what color they carry might be closest to parchment? Or any other brand of paint for that matter. Just to get me by for now. Thanks.

Re: Parchment vinyl paint?

I did some 72 stuff awhile back, and on those parts the "super white" was a VERY good match.

In these pics, the console and the dash pad were done in Super White. The door panels are original, unrestored parchment and the seats are new parchment.

Super white it is. That was my initial thought when I checked out the link John posted, but it's great to hear from people who have actually used it. I appreciate the help.

Re: Parchment vinyl paint?

just wanted to ask, how durable is the sem vinyl paint? I've used it but it was a long, long time ago. Back then it was the best thing around - probably the case today as well Just curious how well it holds up on a medium wear area like a door panel or in the area where you open the console??
Thanks

Its still a very good product, used it on these panels along with a SEM low glare clear, same with my console.

Re: Parchment vinyl paint?

I used a brand from Finishmasters, maybe Dupont. Color matched - cleaned my parts as recommended, sprayed a few coats from spray gun, finished with SEM sealer. Cured a few days. Just like factory and durabled too. But, it was $110.00 a quart...
