Re: Locomotive Lugnut

I hit it hard for a couple of hours after work today and got the rear suspension completely finished. I'll post some pics after I get it all painted up nice, then I'll start test fitting the motor and trans.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut

Good seeing another big window SWB Apache being built. Probably the first with Porterbuilt suspension around here too so im a little jealous. lol.. Love what you did with the seat. I have the same one in my Apache but i'm gonna have 3" taken off the top when it gets reupholstered. I thought about sectioning the brackets like you did but i'm short and felt like it would sit too low for me.

I'm definately subscribed.

Keep up the great work Danny

Re: Locomotive Lugnut

I finished the rear susp.( as much as I could anyway). Then I figured I'd pull the cab off and paint the whole thing satin black, then reassemble the susp. Next I'll run some brake lines, start fitting the engine and trans., and start on the fuel system. Here's some pics

Thanks, I'm not the greatest at doing the really detailed stuff but I'm trying a little harder at it on this truck.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut

Your truck is coming along very nicely. It will likely be at least as nice as your Riv. Chassis is looking good.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut

Thanks for all the compliments.

I ordered a 98-02 F-body oil pan kit, and a DBW (drive by wire) stand alone wiring harness for my 6.0, I should have them both in a week or so. In the meantime I'm gonna finish up the brake lines. I'll post more pics when I get more accomplished.
