Smashed Derby Car!
Here is the aftermath of the Derby, obviously this car didn't hold up so well. This car could not take all the hard hits I was delivering. All the damage I was doing was to myself. As you can see my rear-end went down instead of up. Did a good job of protecting my front end .Next year I will be using A 77 Ford Licnoln Continental now that is one hell of a derby car . A 78 Continental got me 2 trophys last year. Pics soon to come.

Cool man, back in 1988, a 1976 Lincoln got me a trophy at Hales Corners Speedway in Wisconson. I welded in some extra bumper braces and relocated the radiator to the top of the engine using home made braces and flex radiator tubing.
Looks like you got the best of 'em from your pic. |

Derby cars are cool!!
First derby I ever went to, I must have been around 8 or 9. A guy my dad worked with was entering a car. My dad was SOOO determined to go, no matter what. He just had to see it! Turned out the guy's car was a near new Lincoln, right out of the parking lot!!! Later, my dad told me his wife had just been awarded the car in their divorce. LOL!! Mike
