Re: 83 grille
Unfortunately with these 80s grilles a ton depends on the condition when its off the truck.
Mounting holes can crack or be broken either before or during removal. Also, stress cracks, stone chips, etc factor in. One man's description of "pretty good" differs from another. When selling/describing my strategy is to look at the part and say what on it is different than what you would expect to see on a new part, then let someone decide for themselves where the condition falls. Also important: how much it costs to ship to the buyer. While a price of $20 or $40 can be "fair" for a part, if it costs someone $50 to get it mailed to them it makes it a $70 or $90 part, and no longer worth it. Having said all of those things, if that grille has zero chips, zero cracks, no broken mount holes when removed, and just the fading or water staining that comes from a used part but no other wear it is worth maybe $70 delivered to the buyer who absolutely needs it for their year truck, which may take a year to find a taker for. Its not a terribly desirable year grille imo... |
