what does a 64 C-60 weigh

What does C-60 without a hoist weigh? I know with one they weigh right at 9000 lbs. I have to buy at scrap price its in good shape very little rust they wont sell for less than scrap price

Re: what does a 64 C-60 weigh

actually the easy way to do it is if you both agree on that, then take the hoist off and go over the scales. just weigh the vehicle that is doing the transporting first or if it is driveable run it over the scales. if it is 200 mi to a scrap yard then it will cost him to get it there for scrap. consider that in your offer

Isn't there a tag on the DS kick panel that says the weight? It wouldn't include the hoist anyway

Re: what does a 64 C-60 weigh

Clyde never thought to look there i got a 65 that someone painted over it kinda sucks i like seeing the tags there and Padresag I realize i can do that we truck alot of stuff and the truck is a straight truck no hoist but the guys grandpa says its worth way more the $500 I offered since it dont run grandson thinks battery since he just pushed into the barn with a tractor since it was full of corn so I said i will give $600 tops since i am sure it dont weigh more than 7500 lbs his grandpa is 87 and bought the truck new and it hasnt seen rain in the last 40 years and it shows very little rust on floors very solid rockers are kinda soft and one spot on the inside of the roof in the front and assured them i will not scrap the cab its the main part i want but told the grandson i am gonna scrap the rest and he knew that but grandpa just dont understand it. The grandson said its going one way or another there new combine needs to be inside and it cost way more than a 64 C-60

Re: what does a 64 C-60 weigh

It's been a while since my '63 C60 was on a scale, but seems to me it was right about 8,000. That is a cab and chassis.
