Items for roadside repair kit?

I'm thinking little repairs here and there are going to be the norm. It's all good.

I was noticing one side of my exhaust was sagging. Looked underneath, and one of the metal mounting pegs was rusted and sheared off. So, I picked up a good bolt with washers and lock washers at the hardware store. I was glad I had some leather work gloves in the cab, because the pipes were hot. I ended up buying a spare bolt for future use.

Anyway, what do you guys carry for repairs?

AAA and a cell phone, you can fit both in your pocket! I think I have an old Crecent wrench, a dead flashlight and a broken pair of pliers in my glovebox, just in case!

1. Jumper cables good ones
2. Coulpe of qrts of oil
3. Jug of water & antifreeze mix
4. Jack, small 2"x6" wood to sit jack on
5. Old screw driver, philip head, pliers,adjustable wrench
6. Duct tape
7. Old blanket to lay on are wrap up in
8. Flash light
9. Credit card and phone
10. Gloves
11.Emergency kit in glove box
12. Rags
13. Waterless hand wash when done
14. Belts
15. Rope are straps
I have a rubbermaid container in the back of the truck and keep everything in it.
The list can go on and on.

I almost don't want reply, 'cause I don't want to jinx myself. But here goes....

Haven't had a AAA card for years. I don't carry tools. Well, a few exceptions -- jumper cables, jack, and a four-way are always on board. If I'm woodcutting, my wife is usually with me, and she has the cell phone. But there's almost never any cell service. We'll have a scrench, file & guide, and the usual firewood tools -- axes, mauls, wedges, & a shovel. But no other hand tools or spares.

I agree, and I do have towing with my insurance plan, but sometimes fixing it yourself on the side of the road is less fuss than a tow

That's a great list, but aren't you worried someone will take your stuff, seeing as you keep it in the back?

I have a bed cover with lock.

My bare necessities are as follows...

10" cresent wrench
medium sized Phillips screw driver
medium sized flat screw driver
zips ties
Lineman pliers (Electricians pliars)
flashlight
ratchet strap
jack and lug wrench
MORE zip ties

You can do a lot with that short list. Oh and of course the cell phone AND a car charger. I have never called a tow truck and don't intend to. The one or two times a vehicle has left me stranded I have always been able to get a ride to one of my other vehicles and my flatbed trailer or called on a friend to help me. I know not everyone has that luxury, I consider myself lucky in that respect.

Don't forget a First Aid kit.I usually have a coathanger and a used belt for accessories also.

I keep a extra alt belt, heater hose and radiator hose up under the hood in the engine compartment.

I have a small 50pc tool kit in a nice compact case that I carry behind my seat with much of the stuff others have mentioned. I would like to add a circuit tester to your list. The tool kit I have includes a small one and it's come in handy quite a lot for finding electrical issues.

Spare parts to carry are points (if you have them), a couple of plugs, assorted fuses, and a length of wire. That will most likely get you home in almost any situation.

My dad told me a long time ago. Carry as much as u can, that way you will never need any of it. It has worked pretty good for the first 30 years of driving.
I also have a electric fuel pump and spare tire in there somewhere. I kept the cardboard the belts are in so if I need one when out on the road I have the correct numbers.
