Air-Lift for our truck
__Does anyone know where I can find a set of Air-Lift bags for a '70 coil spring rear? I have 4" drop springs and I would like to have the bags to use when loaded or trailer pulling. Looked at Air-Lifts website and they don't list anything for my '70 stepper. Not looking for trick stuff, just a basic overload set-up.
. Thanks |

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Rob I used a set of jeep bags with extra spacers.
Ran the 2 air lines back to the bumper and used the Schrader valves to hang the tag with. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=425850

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Went through this a couple of months ago.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=537391 From what I was able to find they only have a 2wd Blazer listing posted. That should be the corrrect application for a C/10 as well. Poster never followed up so you get to. http://shop.airliftcompany.com/produ...G_LEVELING_KIT

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Yes droped springs. I got tired of it bottoming out with them. They have hardley any stiffness to them. The air bags make for a very nice ride now.

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Have you tried talking to them? I know for a fact that they used to have them for these trucks. I ran a set in the rear of a '70 Custom/10 I had. I got them through the spring shop I've dealt with forever.

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Andy, thanks for the information and part numbers. I will likely need this since I plan on hauling my boat with a 4/6" drop.

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
What keeps the bolts holding the spring cups in from puncturing the top and bottom of the bags?

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
I'll jump in here. If you look at Andy's photos, you'll see one black spacer below the bag, and two spacers on top. The bags we both used are for a Jeep and are fairly short. The spacers have a large hole in the center and they keep the bags away from the bolts.

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Ok. Sweet! Thanks. Where would I get the extra spacers or do they come with the kit?

Re: Air-Lift for our truck
Not sure if "Air Lift" can supply them. I made mine from some 3" UHMW stock that was "hanging around' at the shop where I used to work. I made each one 1" thick x 3" dia. with a 1" hole in the center, and added a notch in the top one for routing the air line out. I had some pics somewhere, but I can't seem to find them.
