Talking Victory!!

I told you guys I would make that truck run! Just need to fine tune my timing now, but I dunno what the marks are... I'm hoping someone else has a similar marker and can tell me what everything means...

using a timing light, line the mark on your balancer up with the notch indicated by the line. that will be 8* BTDC. that's generally about the point where most small block Chevys are happy.

Can of Carb cleaner or Brake cleaner, rag, long screw flat head screw driver. There are numbers on the timing tab it the pic you show they are just hiding under dirt. Clean the tab of and you should see the numbers. Im working on a pic now

TIMING SPECIFICATION 6 DEGREES BEFORE TOP DEAD CENTER *SET AT WARM IDLE SPEED (700 RPM) *DISTRIBUTOR VACUUM HOSE DISCONNECTED & PLUGGED *TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE (PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED) *ALL ACCESSORIES OFF

Thanks, got it set to a little bit to the right of the far right tab, it seemed to idle best there... My engine is now complete
