Carb recomendations

Hey guys I just built a new motor for my 84 K10 and would like your input on a carb to buy. It is a 383 with RHS cylinder heads, around 9to1 compression ratio, Comp cams XR276 Hydraulic Roller, all comp cams roller rockers, lifters, and push rods. Edelbrock AirGap Intake,Hedman Elite Headers with 3 inch collectors,3 inch pipe into Flowmasters. Truck has a sm465 with a 205 tc. I was thinking about a new Holley street hp 750 double pumper but would like everyones opinion.the truck will be driven daily.

Re: Carb recomendations

The 750 will do for that. Should be around 400-450hp with that setup with a lope too if that is a roller. Right?
You going to offroad it?

Re: Carb recomendations

Ok well it should work. I think holley has a 700cfm truck avenger as well wich has spring loaded floats and needles to help meter fuel accurately when bouncing.

Re: Carb recomendations

are you interested in fuel economy? if so, a dp doesn't really fit the bill. for the money you are going to spend, put a little more in the pot and get a sean murphy(smi carbs) built quadrajet. best off road carb, best for economy, best for throttle response. there are a couple of other companies out there that will build to your specs as well. mountain man and cliff ruggles come to mind also.
