1965 gmc stepside, 77 c10 rear end,leaf springs swap...
Hey guy its been awhile i havent got on< but now i have to tackle to finish my truck. its a 1965 gmc stepside and i got sum parts from a 1977 c10.
*my question is can i use the front/and rear leaf spring hangers from the 77 on my 65 ??? has anybody done this before,any cutting drilling etc.? just so yall know my truck didnt come with trailing arms it came with leaf springs. Posted via Mobile Device |

I haven't done it, but it should be doable. You'll just have to make sure you get the rear end back in the original location as I believe the '77 springs may be longer than the '65 springs. Why are you wanting to change the springs and hangers?

Because the original on the 1965 gmc, they're rusted out . And I happend to have the hanger from that 77' .. But ive never done it bfore,I could really use some guidance.
Theyres threads about everything else with pictures, what todo, were to measure etc.. But I cant find one for what im doing... Posted via Mobile Device |
