Blue drive shafts?

I have a 1970 blazer. I was striping the rust and paint off the drive shafts and here was reminants of a blue paint. Were they blue from the factory?

I'd have to look at mine again but I remember them being greenish-blue....with a lot of grease on them too

well i have already redone mine black, but wonder why you never see them blue on the restorations?
