Lower Control Arm Question
Probably a dumb question, but...
Should the lower control arms ('70 GMC) be perfectly centered? For instance, the same measurement from the U-bolts to control arm face? I have included a crude photo that might help. Think of the red lines as approximate U-bolt saddle locations. Thanks!

There is a left and a right so they are different.

I just marked the center of the shaft and used that mark to center between the ears of the a arm. I hope thats how its done or ill be redoing mine.

There is a notch that locates the A-arm, but you can move the notch to gain more caster. There is a whole thread about it in the suspension forum. My caster mod or something like that. Very little work if the arms are torn down already.

Some of the replacement control arm shafts are double drilled/dimpled, for the frame saddle index,... so you can't put them in backwards.
