Who sells the best Urethane body mounts?
I'm getting ready to order the parts I'll need to get my cab mounted so I can check for engine/trans clearance when I make those mounts. It's a '66 C10. I'd like to use urethane body mount bushings since the frame will be braced/stiffened and all of the other suspension joints will be either heim or urethane. Are there any body mount kits that are better than others? Thanks in advance.

Original style rubber body/cab mounts will transfer less interior vibration/noise etc., unless you don't care about that. Energy Suspension and Prothane are two that come to mind for quality urethane products.

I've used Energy Suspension in the past- was very happy.

Re: Who sells the best Urethane body mounts?
Thanks dudes. I'm not worried about them being stiffer- the whole frame will be braced for less torsional twisting so they'll be less twisting that can be transferred into the cab to begin with.

I used Prothane, fit well and all. Nice cad plated hardware. I'm going back with some rubbber ones soon, they are just too darn harsh on these rough roads here-especially on that expansion joint on the edges of bridges or freeway overpasses.

Re: Who sells the best Urethane body mounts?
Don't want to highjack, but which rubber cab mount kit would you guys recommend?
There seems to be loads of suppliers and since the price range is everything between two and three figures, it's kind of hard to say which kits offer good value for money or are just expensive... Thanks in advance. |
