Installing a 4.8 vortec

I'm using a 4.8 vortec from a 2007 GMC. Right behind and above the main air intake is a plastic line with a green cap probably to test pressure of something. There is also a place to plug wires into. Anyone know what this does? Thanks

Evap purge selnoid remove the plastic tube put a hose cap on it the pigtail will be removed when reworking the harness only needed on a smog legal swap
