Re: 82 GMC Sierra wheels and tires..
Says it right there in blue and white. 4" I have some springs in the back of my truck now that have been cut. Just cant remember how much I cut. Go that way to see if you like it. Its cheap and easy.

Would I have a better chance of getting a good front end alignment with a 2.5 drop spindle and a 1.5 spring? |

Re: 82 GMC Sierra wheels and tires..
Do any of you guys have any experience with Diamond Racing Wheels?
http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/index.html They seem to have some black wheels with good prices, I'm going to call them and check on getting a set. |

Re: 82 GMC Sierra wheels and tires..
I bought a set of used 15x8 rally wheels today. I'm going to clean them up good, primer them and paint them black.
What's the backspacing on these wheels? I'm still planning on lowering the truck about 4/5. I'd like to run a 285/70/15 on the rear wheels, depending on if i can find much available in that size. |

Re: 82 GMC Sierra wheels and tires..
15x8 should be about 4" to 4 1/4" backspace. 285/70r15 are only available from Coker tire now. BFG discontinued alot of sizes, but Coker just came out with a few.

Re: 82 GMC Sierra wheels and tires..
Thanks for the info.
Maybe I should go with a bit more readily available/cheaper tire size. Anything else that would be about the same width as a 275/60/15, just a bit taller? |
