Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
Hi All,
Looking for a new bench.. I got mine recovered while I was in New Mexico back in the day but it's already looking cruddy. I'm looking at these three right now.. anyone have any experience with them? My truck is turquoise and the cab inside is gold.. I'm thinking the bench should either be black or brown.. thoughts? http://www.discountvantruck.com/truc...truckseats.htm http://www.discountvantruck.com/truc...tusLowback.htm http://www.discountvantruck.com/truc...canLowback.htm I thought links would work better.. maybe you guys can see something wrong with these things. I paid $250 for my driver/passenger and $50 for my jump seat. Find a nice 89+ Chevy and you could have it redone for less than those.

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
I have a seat from a 2002 Silverado, has integrated shoulder belts and mine has power.

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
Thanks for the replies.
Ya I've searched and have seen the bench seat thread. I haven't seen those seats listed or read about anyone using them ( the ones in the links I posted). I know the newer bench seats are nice and comfy, already covered nice too.. one problem for me is that they look way too modern. My truck has a late 50's through 60's hot rod theme going on. A modern seat isn't going to look right at all in the cab. So I'm leaning towards the bench that looks like the buddy buckets that I listed. Anyone have any ideas? I'm willing to ship the current bench seat out to someone who does good work.. as long as it's comfortable when I get it back and it holds up.. the current re covering is 3 years old and looks like crap. And I don't think he used new foam as it's pretty uncomfortable. Alex Last edited by Arekusu; 12-24-2012 at 02:35 PM. |

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
I'm a fan of the last one. I agree, the new seats are just a little modern for me too. I'd really like to have buddy buckets, but those are really nice too.

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
Ya I haven't seen to many pics of buddy buckets in a 60-66. It'd be nice to see a few pics in finished projects.
Merry Christmas. |

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
I have contacted these folks a few times and will use them when the time comes. The quality looks top notch and also inexpensive.
Here is a thread about them: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=336514 Least $$, is to recover the original. I think best bet, comfort, size, style is to get a 80-90's chevy truck bench seat and recover in a 60's style. Just my .02 Merry xMas Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
I have 2006 silverado non HD 1500, 40/20/40, again for the seat belts!
I sold the original bench for 100$ to a co-worker. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Aftermarket bench seats (pics?)
I already have seat belts in the truck and will probably upgrade to some tougher ones for racing.
