Re: windshield gasket ?

I would go with a board vendor, Classic Heartbeat and GMC Pauls comes to mind. We used one from LMC and it was a real pain to put it, but once it was in it seems to have sealed good.

Re: windshield gasket ?

The ones with the trim insert tend to be a problem, lots of threads on here about that. I ended up with Precision brand which I think is the best mfg, they even posted a video on here about the install.
Good luck.

Re: windshield gasket ?

Actually the windshield installer provided it but some of our vendors carry them.

Just a little clarification on your statement as you probably weren't aware LeddZepp ( great band by the way ) that Precision Restoration parts who is now a board vendor should not be confused with ""Precision"" which is the manufacturer of the ""Precision"" rubber seals as ""Precision"" & Precision Restoration Parts are 2 separate companies and Precision Restoration Parts does not stock any of the ""Precision"" manufactured seals they just drop ship all orders from ""Precision"" the manufacturer of the weatherstrips, so when the manufacturer ""Precision"" runs out of stock on a part and they do quite often Precision Restoration Parts can't fill your orders since they have no actual inventory.
We however Stock & sell all of the Chevy & GMC truck, Suburban & Blazer ""Precision"" brand weatherstrips as does Wes at Classic Heartbeat so even if ""Precision"" the manufacturer is out of stock we normally always have them in stock because we buy and stock these seals in bulk quantities and only rely on Precision the manufacturer to drop ship for us if we are temporarily out of a item while we wait on a stocking order to arrive.
In my opinion YOU SHOULD ALWAYS INSIST UPON ""PRECISION"" made weatherstrips.
