WTB: cab patch panel
Looking for the pinch weld portion of the bottom drivers side toe board. From the cab support over to the trans tunnel. Below is what mine looks like now.

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
I may have a good section in a cab that I am parting out http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=556770 but with the snow on it will be a little while before I can check it and cut it out. If you are not in a hurry and nobody else comes up with one, I will check when I can.

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
I made mine out of some sheet metal. Hammer it over a 2x4 to bend it. I would post pics but I can't in a started thread for some reason.

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
I might be able to help you with that. If you are talking about the area, I think you are, I did the same thing on the passenger side of a cab I bought, cutting the patch out of my original cab. That's where the floor board and the firewall meet, correct?
I'll check my cab and see what kind of shape it's in; I am pretty sure it's in decent shape. Please just confirm that we are talking about the same thing. |

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
That is the piece I'm looking for. If you don't mind sending a picture that would be great. I have an extra cab and might try to cut it out and piece together.

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
I can send you a pic tomorrow. It's a bit too cold to go out to my garage right now. If you have an extra cab, you should be able to pull off cutting it out and patching it; that's exactly what I did. It's certainly easier and faster than my cutting out something you already have and sending it to you.
The cab I bought was in an accident and the spot welds had separated on the passenger side. Rather than try to bang it back into shape and re-spot weld it (I did try and it was not so successful), I decided to cut the perfectly welded piece out of my old cab. Take a look at page 6 of my thread to see what I did. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=502964&page=6 |

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
Are you still looking for a patch panel or have you figured something else out?
If you are still looking, howmuch of this do you want? How much above and below the seem and from where to where from side to side?

Re: WTB: cab patch panel
Think I have something figured out for now. My plans might change as I actually start cutting it out. If it does, I will let you know the measurement and see where we can go from there.
