Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Thanks for the kind words. The spiral shocks are the original color. Any of you guys ever used new foam on your seats? I am thinking about putting new foam in my buddies but wow is foam expensive. Just want to make sure its worth it.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
looks like u have to sand blast first. power coat needs bare metal to stick.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I know. I just let the shop do the blasting themselves before they coat. I've had good luck with a local shop.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I have a buddy who does zinc plating and he helps me out. I do use new bolts whenever possible but some hardware is impossible to find new.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I decided to keep my old style cartridge oil filter. Today i made a drain for it so it isn't always full when i take the canister off getting oil everywhere. this is what i came up with. hardly noticeable. just a bolt threaded into the main bolt with a hole drilled into the inside of the canister.I tested it and it drained the canister full of oil in 8 minutes. My dad said he would throw that thing away and use a spin on. I have never had one of these so i hope this will make the oil changes cleaner.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I decided i liked the 67 impala steering wheel better than the original truck one but wanted to keep the original cst horn button so heres what i came up with. best of both worlds and everything is still functional as it should be!
