There was not a usable body panel on the truck. Motor was junk. It had been sitting in a field for 15yrs.

I was able to use the dash, differential, salvaged a ton of useful hardware (my shortbox has been in pieces for over a decade, lots of pieces missing) The doors went to a fellow member for his Blazer project. Even the frame body mounts were in good shape so I kept them too.

Eventually you'll realize that you can't save them all. I currently have 7 trucks plus my bike. There is no room for a rusted out P.O.S.

Sure did, I bought it as a package deal with this 65'. He knew exactly what my intentions were. I don't see any point in lying about stuff like that.

I sure hope so, as it stands now he has a fit if we try and go out without taking the Blazer. I consider that a good start.

Between him and his two sisters, yes. But not till I can no longer drive them. In the mean time they'll have to build thier own, I'll help of course.

Re: Pics of your 67-72 gmc truck???

Going to build a Western Hauler style bed for it so I can still pull a gooseneck. Swapping in disc brake axles and a Cummins/6 spd. Going to use it as a hot rod hauler.

I don't believe it's quite that simple if you search around the builds section, I know there has been a few posted in there.

Re: Pics of your 67-72 gmc truck???

Here's my 72 that just got painted last September. Threw it all back together with new AA wiring and new glass, wet sanded, buffed and driving within 4 weeks of being painted.

Doesnt take much pressure washing o take it off. It chips and peels away fairly easily as it ages

Re: Pics of your 67-72 gmc truck???

Yes, the black fades over time. My grill is a repop and 3 years old. The black paint is rough and doesn't stick well because it is painted over the chrome.
