Has anyone actually used a c60 cab?
I've done a lot of reading and can't find anyone that has actually used a c60 cab on a c10. We have 3 of them around the farm, and they have descent cabs on them. None are LCF trucks. I'm just curious what the difference actually is besides the floors?

Re: Has anyone actually used a c60 cab?
as long as it not a LCF cab it should be close. I seen one on a GMC and they even kept the running boards, but it looked funny with the smaller front fenders and those runningboards.
I have also seen one I was told was a big truck cab, not know that at first I really could not tell. floor and steering colunm are two things i can think of and I'll bet cab mounts may differ. Now if you had a good LCF cab....I could use one of those.

Re: Has anyone actually used a c60 cab?
I sold the one I had to a fella from Ohio-the mounting bolts are in a different location, and the trans hump is flat, but a half-ton hump replaced it no problem. Firewall is slightly different where the column/MC mounts up. Nothing has to change that is as hard to do as repairing rust-out. The C60 cab I had was totally rust free-was a soybean truck used once a year and kept under a barn. Firetrucks are also good candidates.

Re: Has anyone actually used a c60 cab?
I have one loose on a c/10, that someone had already switched over years ago, they bolted/screwed in a high hump, and removed the front cross brace.
I also have a c/60 that had the cab replaced with a c/10 cab, they cut out the high hump with a torch, (this was a weld in hump cab) and installed the flat panel, the cross brace is missing, and the lower inner fender bolts are missing too., it is a 66 cab and the frame uses the wide 60-62 front bolt mounts.

There's a few differences but nothing you can't handle. I have a 63 C60 cab mounted on a 64 4WD frame.

What is much shorter and at different elevation for C10, Alex.
Do I win? Trent came to the rescue for the inner fender mounts for my 4WD. 8.155 Bracket Assy. |

Funny how it says 65-66 (typical) when the 64-5-6's were welded on.!
That is a '63...Unless you actually know this(lol like we do)..that illlustration could really confuse.! T

I'm hoping I can slip home today and take a look at the 64 we have sitting on some land we own. I want to see how bad it is before i get too crazy about the idea
