72 Gmc finally back on the road!
hey everyone i finally got my gmc back on the road this weekend. this is a list of some things i have done in the last 2 months while my truck sat....
I rebuilt the engine. 350 4 bolt main...1103 cam, gear drive, ported heads, performer intake, super comp headers, runs real good and fast. i shortened the steering column about 4 inches. converted from 3ott to floor shift. removed the heater and blower motor and put in some aluminum panels. added an aluminum radiator. made and aluminum gauge holder for my oil temp and water temp gauges. installed a steering wheel with a custom made horn buttom from a 68 c10. put in replacment dash and glove box door pieces from the same 68. very happy with it for now just thought i would give an update... |

here a some more pictures. i put the pipes exiting in front of the rear wheels yesterday. the underneath shot is showing the pypes stainless x pipe exhaust. hope you guys like i have been very busy

How's the idle quality with that 1103 cam? I built a similar 350 with swirl port heads and I'm now questioning my cam choice. Is the bottom end torque good? Thx for any info and nice truck btw

idle definitely has a nice lope to it. You can tell it has a cam in it for sure. Low end power is good, really comes alive in higher rpms and gets the big ole truck moving quite fast. So far, I love the cam I have about 125 miles on it and it feels great. Very noticeable difference in power and sound over the stock cam

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

It has a 3 speed saginaw in it right now.
