Unhappy Blazer is now in hibernation

Well folks, put the Woody away for the next 6 months. This is the second car cover I purchased (1st was for Yeller), it is from the California Car Cover Company (CCCC). I cannot say enough good things about CCCC and their covers...first class and top notch all the way. If anyone needs one I strongly reccommend them!

Now that this task is out of the way, I can focus my efforts and money on Yeller...that is if I can ever get the cab back! (look for upcoming thread).

Enjoy the pics!

-Jeff

She did nothing wrong, it is called SNOW...and up here in MN when it snows we get salt on the road...salt = rust!

Our 73-87 trucks rust fast...you can almost actually see them rust!

Uh...Hmmm?Oh never mind. :p

Dave you trying to say your cover fit like socks on a duck? That surprises me too. I have had a few from CCCC, and they fit nice.

I hear ya Dave...for $200+ it should fit like the magazine pics.

Chris, I am sure you would...but I would never see it again! Rest assured, she is well stored and taken care of.

Leaving it in the grass?? Wont all the moisture coming up from the grass get to the under-carriage of the blazer? i've always been told not to leave a car in grass for very long, bad rust issues always occur.. maybe just in the summer? i dunno much about it, but if someone else knows, you can jump in and inform me..

Not true. The ground freezes.

I think you are talking about storing a vehicle on concrete. Moisture escapes from the concrete and will rust the chassis quicker. Whenever storing a vehicle on a conc slab, always lay plastic or cardboard under it and try and elevate it by puting it on jack stands (good for the tires too). I stored Yeller outdoors in the exact same conditions for 3 winters...no rust whatsoever.

-Jeff

And Chris, if you are reading this, the underside of the Woody is cleaner than the outside!
