Bow In Middle of Cowl??

I just installed a new hood to cowl seal and some stainless trash guards. I don't remember the middle of my cowl bowing out in the middle like this. Anybody's cowl do this??? All the screw's/bolts are attached and tight. I looked the best I could. It doesn't appear the lip of the cowl his hitting the stainless guards..

Your hood to cowl seal should be a V shaped seal not L shaped. Rock auto has the correct seal for our trucks. Where did you get the trash guards from?

Mine did the same thing, I ended up taking it off. Does it actually do anything? I haven't had any issues without it.

Well i just figured bc it rains so much up here I should leave it on. It sits outside most the time so I don't really know if it would leak in the engine compartment or not. So your cowl bowed up like that foo in the middle from the seal?

Re: Bow In Middle of Cowl??

My cowl didn't raise more than the thickness of the seal, my hood lifted all the way across. I tried to adjust the hinges but it didn't help. Mine sits outside year round in the rain and snow, I've never seen any water under the hood. I honestly see no need for it but maybe someone else knows?
