who snatched up this iowa shortbox?

granted i havent seen this in person, but it sure looks clean and pretty original. i jumped on it when i spotted it this morning, but its already gone to someone. all i would have done was a mild(reversible) suspension drop and driven it!

and to think i sold my bultaco this morning and already had the money spent on this truck...! lol such is life.

Not that's it's a big deal for you Iowans, but that black plate not might be right for that truck. Not sure if that is an appropriate sequence for that year.

I dont even know what the black plate means. Wasn't even looking at that really. It would have to get different plates when it got licensed anyway.

These were the plates that these trucks were originally registered with in Cal.
It was the color scheme at the time....yellow on black.

They are highly desirable out here. Finding plates that are "clean"...meaning available for use....is difficult.

As a result, said plates can go for 3-400$ out here, maybe even more.

I found that out when I briefly considered trying to find some for my truck. Now I'm just thinking about a classic frame.

Iowa had black plates, probably in 60's or 50's..back then they changed the color every year...
