2008 silverado aftermarket posi
Hello
i have a 2008 Silverado 4 wheel drive. It could get stuck on wet pavement. In four wheel drive, the wheel with the lesser amount of traction on each axel gets the power. Question is : Will an aftermarket posi unit fit in my factory differential case, or do I have to swap out the entire rear end ? If one will fit in, which one ? Thanks for the response(s). |

Detroit true track is a popular option.

Re: 2008 silverado aftermarket posi
I have heard great things about the true trac and plan on running one in the rear of my 68 K20 when I get sick of the current G80 gov-bomb.
Do you have decent tires on the truck? When I don't want to warm up the 68, I drive an 88 k2500 beater during the winter. It has open axles but nice all season tires, just last week had to drive through a ditch with about 9-12 inches of snow and it trucked right through with use of the throttle. Also, during the winter it helps to keep weight in the bed for traction.
