Wow.....yours was really hacked!
Whoever hacked mine did a pretty crappy job....the hole is about 1/2" over to the left....so the knob hole is still visible on the passenger side At least it was already hacked so i didn't have to feel bad about hacking it myself and installing a CD player

are you gonna paint it? that dash looks pretty clean. did you tac weld it in?

I think the guy who had the truck before put a TV in the hole. I tack welded it along the dash pad seam and bolted it on both ends like the stock dash. Came out looking great.

I would love to be able to put a cd player or dvd/tv in the dash but I cant seem to bring myself to hack it up (yet)... I have a spare dash in a 72 doner blazer so I could always go back ... but thats a lot of work ... I think I'll just hide it in the glove box for now ...

lookin pretty good after paint. looks so much different that original paint. did you paint or did you have it done? that looks very high gloss
