Non stock exhaust manifolds

I have a set of these on the 67 SS camaro.
I've never seen these types of manifolds on any 67-72 truck so far.
I know they will bolt up to the engine.
But has anyone used these on their truck?
And what problems if any did you run into..

J.

Re: Non stock exhaust manifolds

Guaranteed that they will hit the engine mount stands. You can't use any manifolds that hang low like that with stock 67-72 engine mounting. That's the reason these trucks used the ramshorn type of manifolds, because they are situated significantly higher.

Re: Non stock exhaust manifolds

Thanks.. I know these manifolds are more efficient than the rams, but by how much I'm not sure. I wonder if anyone makes a mount that allows a bolt in swap.

Re: Non stock exhaust manifolds

you could have these if you wanted them just pay shipping
oh an i wanted too say that these were set in the 6 cly holes with a 283 v8 so I dont think the bottom hole would line up in the v8 postion(that may need to be drilled i never checked)
these might even be modded 6 cly mounts
they did a good job braceing an welding them up but are not very pretty also
these were in a 67 with the wider frame rail

Thank you for the offer.. it's a generous one.
But I'm not at the point that I can afford to take my daily driver apart for this modification, let alone afford the manifolds..

So I'll reluctantly have to pass.
If you're willing to offer the mounts to anyone else on the forum..
Please do so.

Thanks.
