Re: 1940 "project moonshine"
How did you mount your wood bed floor? Specifically with those strips and where did you get them from?

Re: 1940 "project moonshine"
if you look back on my build you will see we made a raised bed floor frame using 1x1 steel.i then got the bed strips from mar-k and had them not drill the holes so i could drill through the bed strip and the frame below.the bed strips come with or without holes at any length you want.

Re: 1940 "project moonshine"
today we got a little more done.we punched 112 louvers in the hood.we also had to massage the front sheet metal around to align with the hood.all electrical is done but we have to mess with the yankee 960 turn signal switch a little.chizzler

Re: 1940 "project moonshine"
thanks.louvers took about 3 hours to lay out and punch.you have to grid the backside so you have something to follow once you start going.it helps keep everything in line.

Re: 1940 "project moonshine"
few update pics.today we took the red door and sanded it and blended in some other colors to try and match the rest of the body.it is not a great match for now but a little closer.we also put the seat in and made some kick panels from a sheet of black abs.thanks.

The door looks a 100 % better, just don't touch the out side of the truck then put your hand on the seat.
