Re: What you drug home this weekend...
Dragged this home last weekend. I pulled it out of a field for a guy who wheels and deals in old cars and trucks. He said he had the rear axle sold and was probably going to scrap the rest. I delivered it and it sat for months. My plans were changing. I was selling a 63 c10 4x4 and decided I needed a 4x2 short box. I started looking all over the internet, then drove by this one a couple of weeks ago and thought, "ya know...I never did look that truck over." Called the owner and struck a deal. She's been hit on every corner except 3rd and Main, and whats straight is rusted out, but I think I can bring it back...The frame and paperwork are perfect...Think I need to start a build thread...

Re: What you drug home this weekend...
Well it was last weekend but it still counts. I picked this up in Edmonton which is 4 hrs away. Slightly hungover after thanksgiving dinner. Loaded it with the po bobcat. There was no front suspension. Finally got home around 1 then had to get it off the borrowed trailer. Ha it on jackstands ontop of my 4 wheel dollies and hhad to ratchet strap ot off 2.5 hrs later i was returning the trailer. Also had to put it at a buddy's cause the wife already doesn't like the 61 in the driveway. Bought the truck for the steerin wheel and box. For my 63 pretty nice cab. Some extra parts which will go at some point when I get out o the camp I work in. The 65 is actually a factory leaf truck. Sorta partial to the knee knocker otherwise id plan on building this one.

The truck came with a pile of fenders. Extra gauges and column. And to my surprise after searching the web a 67 vette m22 trans.

Re: What you drug home this weekend...
Pretty good 62 Cab and doors. I had planned on replacing my cab with this one, but now I think I'll just take the good parts off of this one and use on mine.

Re: What you drug home this weekend...
Picked up this '66 after seeing or on Craigslist. It was posted three days before I saw it and emailed the owner. Interestingly enough he'd had over 30 emails but no one showed up to look at it. Has a 250, three speed, custom options, cluster with gauges, and rust. Going to get it driveable since my daily doesn't have heat!

Re: What you drug home this weekend...
this one cost me $35
(actually all I got was the cab and frame, but it is a great platform to store some extra parts.) my first 62! for some reason it has a 46-48 passenger car rear in it??? enclosed driveline, and even a fancy bracket made up for the panhard bar, like they were serious??!! the rockers were cut off, but the front and rear braces and cab corners are mint, should be able to use that stuff to fix my dd 63. gas tank is perfect and shiny like a new dime inside- that is going straight into the crew cab.
