71-72 Gas Pedal Swap Question

I plan to do the 71-72 pedal swap in my 70 C/10. I will be using the LFD mounting bracket along with a 71-72 pedal setup I just picked up and I have a few questions. I figured maybe someone who has done this mod might be able to chime in. Here are some pics with my questions.

Re: 71-72 Gas Pedal Swap Question

For the first question, I don't think that should be a problem.
For the second one, I'm not sure. I don't think it'd be a problem, as the nuts are on the firewall, but again I don't know for sure.
Third, I believe that makes it so the pedal can't move left and right, because it could get jammed if it does, I honestly don't think I would try it.

Re: 71-72 Gas Pedal Swap Question

Also, I'm missing the parts numbered in red. I'm assuming this will be an issue too?

Re: 71-72 Gas Pedal Swap Question

find a roll pin that'll fit snugly into that spot to keep your petal centered. as for the spring and pin in the diagram I'm curious to see what people say as well cause the setup I bought didn't come with that either!

also for your second question I ground all three posts/spacers flat on mine. so you're fine

Re: 71-72 Gas Pedal Swap Question

I now see that the return spring and pin are for the pedal (which mine was missing anyway) so never mind that question.

Me too. I have only been able to find one write up and it was doing it without the LFD adapter.
