Suggestions on engine ground strap location
I recently installed vortec heads on my 72 c10.
The original heads had a ground strap on both heads that came off the rear valve cover bolts. Since the vortec heads have center bolt valve covers where would you suggest to install them? Do I need them?

Yes, you need them, and you can attach them to the block -most anywhere you can find a bolt or a threaded hole for one.

Re: Suggestions on engine ground strap location
Here's a picture of where I'm putting mine... attached under the bolts holding the plug wire looms to the rear of the block (a bit hard to see in the picture). I'm not sure the straps are long enough to reach the existing holes on the firewall though.
