Re: manual tranny crossmember

Are you talking about the bellhousing style crossmember or a tail shaft crossmember?

Re: manual tranny crossmember

I don't know of anyone making a "lowered" version.

Re: manual tranny crossmember

You'll have to section the stock one,... or have someone fab a new one.
Do you have any pics of yours?

Re: manual tranny crossmember

I don't think you will have to worry about laying out.
What are your suspension plans?

Re: manual tranny crossmember

i have a kp bolt in step notch and watts link coming next week. have porterbuilt forward series narrowed a arms ready to go on, 2 1/2 drop spindles. ridetech e3 setup coming. plan on having a front crossmember sectioned for now(front dropmember is on the wishlist for next year). the pics were from last year(only one i had showing the tranny crossmember).

Re: manual tranny crossmember

Sectioned crossmember will get you lower up front,... but the pivot point of your a-arms will still hit the ground first.
I'd cut the center out of your 3-speed crossmember and built a horizontal hoop out of tubing to connect the to end pieces back together.
You're going to have to have the truck assembled,... with the engine and trans in place to see where to weld everything back together.
