I.D this Trans and Transfer Case??
Came out of a 85 4x4 suburban,,350 engine and 3/4 ton axels,,transfer says 208 on the tag,,not sure about the trans,hoping its a L480e What ya think?? Are the 208 transfers any good? want to put this stuff in my 71 so I have OD and locking converter if its any good?

Try decoding the ID on the pan rail. A 5 as the first digit would confirm it being an 85 and not having the desirable upgrades of the later, 89 up transmissions.
