Red interiors...?
Have any of you guys painted the interiors of your trucks red?
Or do you have any good reference pix of our trucks with red painted interiors....? I'm just think 'aloud' at the moment, but my other half would like to paint the interior of my truck red, with a hot rod kinda feel, we already have red mexi blankets for the bench seat and to trim the door trim/card area around the window crank handle and door handle..... We're also then thinking of maybe sticker bombing the roof panel with traditional style hot rod, tattoo studio and low-brow kustom kulture kinda stickers..... Plus i'd look at adding some pinstriping to the dash and area around the rear window, etc. I'm just wondering if it would look abit OTT, I guess it depends on the right shade of red, most modern reds are a bit bright and orangey looking. I'd look at finding a nice deep, but not dark, red. Thoughts? Input? Pictures? Cheers guys. |

Re: Red interiors...?
I am anxious to see pics. I am thinking of going with a red interior also. With black bench seat and other black accents.

Re: Red interiors...?
In my head a red and black interior seems cool but when I see it it always looks to punk rock. I have seen some really nice all read interiors. Maybe a lipstick red.

Re: Red interiors...?
I always thought the darker satin red in early Nova's would look good, maybe with a slight fine metalic added in like the original fawn.

Re: Red interiors...?
I shot my interior with Regal Red from Rustoleum. I bought a quart and used my cheapo gun. ( Sorry for not having a pic). The color is a deeper red than fire engine or Ferrari. I like it, but it kinda limits some exterior color choices. Paint your exterior green and you're Chritmas guy. Blue with a white top and you're a patriot. Not that that's bad...but many colors mesh better with something more neutral. My exterior is boring beige so it matches well.

Re: Red interiors...?
I'm doing mine completely red (excet for some chrome and billet accents here and there). Already got the carpet picked out, and steering wheel. Column is painted and waiting to go in. Got a quote on gauges from classic instruments. Freaking STOKED!
