Re: where to start???

Hahah the bumper sticker is classic.my brothers godfather definitely has an arsenal.
Any suggestions on particular brands or part models when it comes to spark plugs, HEI, etc.
Im gonna hit walmart for oil, tranny fluid , and other items that my local auto part store overcharges for lol

Re: where to start???

In addition to what is mentioned above, i would recommend adding a little marvel mystery oil to each cylinder before installing new plugs. Also might be a good idea to pull the dist and prime the engine with oil before starting. You can buy a priming tool, or make one out of an old dist. In the least, pull the coil wire and crank it over til you get oil pressure before starting it.

Re: where to start???

Decided to take the motors/trans out together. Motor has just the motor mounts still in place.

Need help with the transmission.how many bolts are holding it in place??
I disconnected the shift levers on the drive side of the trans.

Should I remove the shift arms completely so they dont get hit during removal or are they ok lefr connected in the engine compartment?

When do I disconnect the driveshaft in the scheme of things?
