Ater 13 years its mine again...*pics*

Likes it says I bought back my high school truck back after 13 years and finally got some good weather to back it out and snap a couple of pics. Its a 1970 and now has a pretty fresh 396 in it with a th350, the truck was built in the mid 90s (if you couldn't tell) and is in need of some TLC.

Its great to have an old friend back home. Yeah, the wheels and flames do give it a 90's vibe.

Yes it is. I plan on ditching the flames and wheels. I would like to bag it and put some 20" boss 338 and stock style interior in it.

This is cool. How many of us have said,"I wish I could find that truck and buy it back"? Or,more like,"I wish I never sold that",and just thinking we'd like it back. I sold my K/20 Highlander to a friend because I was having serious money problems due to divorce. I wanted that truck forever! Maybe some day I'll have a chance to buy it back.

It had the same theme when I sold it, I had put it in a ditch and dented the pass side fender. I sold it to my uncle because I found a 66 chevelle I just had to have (which sold before I got over there to get it) and he had it repainted. The flames looked much better the first time around but other then that it looks the same. But the pics do hide some rust that it didn't have back then.

I took a ice pick to and it seems "solid" so the first thing I'm going to do is fix that before it gets worse.

I sold it to my uncle who gave it to his son. Once a year I reminded them if they ever sold it I wanted first crack at it, well my cousin called me about 3 weeks ago and said he wanted to sell it. So i went and looked at it and the rest is history..

That's cool you got it back. Like everyone has said we all let one get away. I'm jealous of one of my best friends, he still has his 69 camaro he bought for his first car back in 87.

I paid 4k for it, seems like in my area you cant buy a rusty driver (none original paint) with a small block in it for less then 5k. I was hoping to get it for 3,500 but wasn't going to let 500 bucks keep me from getting my truck back. Plus my cousin has 4 kids and works hard, he was wanting to get a newer family ride. So I feel like I helped family buy paying more then I though I wanted to give.

Cool bro! NIce to have an old friend back! I would throw some 20's on it, air bag it and you're set. I kinda like the retro flames. Totally stock interior would look cool too.

Fix the rust first first man, I'd personally leave it the way it is

Wonderful story

The best thing about getting back a truck from highschool like that is all the memories with the Ladies and new moves you learnt in there... Which supports the need for a fresh interior
