Rear mount gas tank on Gearz

I was watching this episode of Gearz and Stacey uses this kit that he says comes from LMC but after a call to them they claim to not know what I'm talking about. The tank segment starts at 5:20

Does anyone know anything about this kit? All of the tank kits in LMC's catalog include the same tank for the blazer, suburban and what they claim to be their "rear mount tank kit for trucks" but it is just a blazer/burban tank which sits above the frame and requires alot of mods.

Any help would be muchly appreciated!

I don't know where the tank can from, but the tank he used is the same as the blazer tank except for the filler neck has been relocated to the top of the tank, instead of out the side. When I changed my tank last year I used the blazer tank and it was pretty easy. There are a couple of good builds on here on relocating your tank.

I can tell you from purchased experience....DO NOT buy the LMC rear bed tank kit. The price you pay will cost you double buy the time you get it installed.....plus it is still a steel tank. If you want the best tank for your money and really want a true BOLT IN tank......Buy from a Boyds Tank. Its aluminum and welded to perfection, fits perfect and mounts within 30 minutes without removing your bed.

MAN! Tell me about it! That's cool but you would have to be removing a LOT of beds before that is worth buying.

I was looking at this one as a quicker option to just building one but i think ill just build it.

Boys tanks are nice! the price reflects that. like i said above, im just going to build one so i can put the fill exactly where i want it.

Its kind of a weird that the tank in the video isnt in the catalog, but i did find it finally, its tucked away on their build page: http://www.lmctruck.com/67chevy/

Thanks for the help!

I understand that the Boyds are pricey...think mine was $475 shipped and built the way I wanted it.
One thing you want to find out if you go cheap on a tank is to ask if it has any baffles in it. I know the one I bought from LMC did not have them. Make sure before you buy from LMC, call them and get info.
