do I need drop coils springs with spindle drop?

do I need drop coils springs with drop spindles ? doing a 2 & 4 drop got new coils for rear and shocks , moving on to front now, just ordered drop spindles 2" and wondering if I need to replace shocks and coils in front also... on a 1971 chevy short bed

Nope. 2" drop spindles will give you a 2" drop with stockk springs.

really depends// springs are 40years old probally and who knows on the shocks??

when i rebuild i like brand new stuff
