Easiest way to remove 83 rearend?

I don't have any experience working on leafspring rearends, just my 68 coil spring rear end. I doing a frame off resto of my 68 longbed and I bought a front end and rear end off my brother's 83 he is junking for $250. Only problem is, it is setting at the back of my dad's 10 acres. The front end is the same as taking off the one on my 68; I've done that. But whats the quickest way to get just the rear end? I'm going use my coil spring set up so I just need the rear end itself. Cordless saw-zall is a must I'm sure.

Can anyone give me some ideas what I'm getting myself in to or a quick way to drop it out of there?

Re: Easiest way to remove 83 rearend?

I am not a huge fan of saw-zall or square body trucks so take plenty of blades, a spare battery and a medium size hammer and cut it out. 4 u-bolts, drive shaft, e-brake cables and brake hose. That is all there is to it. Take a 7/16 for the u joint straps if you don't want to cut the shaft.

Thanks...that's what I was looking for. As far as dragging the truck up to the shop, I have no way to put it back without wheels on it.
Thanks guys
