Power steering pump

I finally got the short water pump brackets and pump for my 68 stepside. When I put the new crankshaft pulley GM part # 5751232 on and put the pump on with the brackets the pump will not line up with the crankshaft pulley. The pump is about 1.5 in out of alignment with the crank pulley. The pump pulley is an original one from what the guy I bought it from said was a 1972 truck. The pump pully part number is 3925537DC. Can anyone give me some ideas?

Thanks-Mika

Re: Power steering pump

No, I don't have pictures. When the pulleys did not line up, I took the brackets and pump off until I figured it out. The pump pulley is about 1.5 inch out with the crankshaft pulley.
