Re: Craigslist:1971 CHEV C-10 LONG BED - $2000
I am partial to ochre, and it doesn't look rusty. I'd want to be sure that the accident didn't tweak the frame, because then you have a parts truck on your hands.
Also, the dash was cut for that radio, which I consider a sin, but I know a lot of guys don't mind that since they want the newer head units. You will find that under that steering wheel cover the wheel is probably rotted, and under that rug the seat cover and maybe foam is shot. Potential frame damage would be my first concern. |

Re: Craigslist:1971 CHEV C-10 LONG BED - $2000
Yea, check the frame to make sure not damaged in accident. My first vehicle was 1971 C-20 Chevy with 6cyl and 3 on the tree. It was a dog and while the tranny was good, it was prone to problems with linkage. If it were me, I would stay away from the 3 on the tree trans missions.
That said, my dad has an original 1962 Chevy Impala he had delivered to his house on birthday brand new. Great car and the 327 v8 rocks!

Yeah, If it was an Automatic I'd think twice, but my 59 is a 3 on the Tree
