Holland aluminum fifth wheels

Saw one of these at the ATHS show in Brooks Oregon last year but I thought it was just something for a show truck. Now another one turned up at the motel in Cortez Colo, this is a work of art and you can tip it up and down with one finger, so it looks like Holland has produced the first aluminum fifth wheel and its to pretty to smear grease on. Here's some pics.

Re: Holland aluminum fifth wheels

I work at a pete dealer and we just had a fleet buy 18 trucks with that 5th wheel on them. That was the first time i ever seen them. I am just waiting for one to come up missing.

If it comes up missing I probably cleaned it up and made a small coffee table out of it, beautiful machine work on it.

Most have Teflon pads no grease required. A friend has one and runs 105-110k +

Re: Holland aluminum fifth wheels

This guy with the white pete greased his any way, guess it wouldn't hurt but kind of made it look crappy. I picked up an old Fruhauf wheel awhile back, the only other one I saw was a picture on the web, I'm going to put it on my C80, I've got 2 or 3 Simplex wheels but I think the fruhauf would be more cool.
