Used Vortec heads for sale
These are Vortec heads off a 1997 express conversion van. The van had appx. 70,xxx miles from what I was told. The engine was replaced due to lack of oil, that took out the bottom end. These heads are the 906 casting. I looked over the heads real quick and they seem to look pretty good. IE no cracks ect. . . I would tend to think all these need is a good cleaning and they would be ready to go. I am looking to get $325 + actual shipping. They will include the rocker arms.
Also, I have no way of weighing these. Does anyone know what a small block head weighs each? Thanks. |

Just step on a bathroom scale holding the head, then step on it w/o the head and find the difference....that is how i always give shipping qoutes when selling stuff over the net

I am looking for some Vortecs, but don't have the cash right now. Even if I do end up selling the truck, I'm keeping the engine. I want to do a Vortec TPI Twin Turbo Although, I did just have a week of meeting with customers that are very interested in buying equipment from me, so that could make it easier to find the money. The commission on one machine would pay for the heads and then some. I'll cross my fingers.

i shipped a set of vortec heads (assembled) , edelbrock intake manifold, head bolts, and rocker arms and it weighted about 125. heads are 50ish each.
Dart heads are hella heavier than Vortecs.
