New to this section

Thought I would drop into this section more regularly now. Added anotyher truck to the stable today, now I have the 70, 96, and todays aquistion is an 82 C10 Short Fleet. It's supposed to end up as my daughter's truck, but who knows

I made it BigBlock73

Another project to keep me busy.
It';s clean and in reall good shape, but it had the right combo I was looking for for my teenage daughter.

250 6 popper (new crate, less than 3,000 on it)
Turbo 350
Power steering,
Power brakes
Very cold AC
15x8 ralleys with caps and rings
Billeted grill

I'll post pictures in a couple days.

Anxiously awaiting pics! Kind of a weird list of options on your six cylinder equipped truck, most the ones I have seen (73-87) had either manual brakes, manual steering..or both. I don't think i have ever seen AC on one either. Also, most six powered trucks had manual transmissions...a three speed on the tree.

Welcome to the "other side".

Watch out for Dave too!

Bigblock73, I agree very different combo. That's why i couldn't pass it up for here. It was just the combo and I thought I might have to try and create it for here.

Whe I was taking some pictures today, it also occured to me that it had a slider rear window to boot. Posted the pictures for it on the picture section.

It is a nice looking truck! The 81 & 82's that had the single headlight setup are IMO the ugliest of all 73-87 grills.

Alot of people upgrade to the 88-91 front ends with the quad headlights...but I think if you upgrade to that kind of setup you should try and find a version of the same era with the single haedlight setup...less "busy" and alot cleaner looking.

Keep us posted on the progress.

yeah...that front end leaves something to de desired. Since it has the billet, I'm thinking of trying to graft in some fog/driving lights below the headlights.

But it isn't supposed to be my truck (), and soooo she'll be having to do some of those investments down the line, so I can have more of my money for the 70.

We go down to get her permit this Wednesday. She has to practice for at least 6 months before she can try for a license.
