Re: Score
I would say it's laziness to cut the grill and support, but that looks like a lot of work. I think it's just stupidity.
Very nice score though, good luck. |

Re: Score
I wonder if he still has the pieces of the grill and support he cut out? Decent GmC supports are hard to find. If the area under the battery is solid, i would either weld the original piece back in or cut the same piece out of a bad support (chevy should be the same) and weld it in.

Re: Score
like was said above its cool to know deals are still out there.
spring time seems too bring out the deals. damn that one looks good yet as far as rust. well except the support an grill. really liking the blue guage cluster i cant even imagine why somebody would go through the trouble too cut all that out just too get the engine out....crazy. speaking of the engine whats in it now? and whats going in it? i see its automatic. so its a swb and had a saddle tank? so lets hear the plans for it.

Re: Score
It actually came from Cali so even though its a good deal I'm going to have it shipped and will end up with a grand in it.....it currently has a 350 in it with turbo 400 will probably put another small block in it and find a radiator support and try and pice back together. I have a 67-68 Chevy grille and radiator support so may stick it on for now....it has very minimal rust so probably going to just cleanup and get it running and put on back burner .....even with shipping it I am happy with what I'll have in it

Re: Score
Yes it has a saddle tank and its swb...will probably take that out....at first I thought it was a 4wd but its just the tire size .....I promise I will get it back down, probably going to put steelies and caps on it and a 3/5 drop....have a good inline six but I know how hard it is to find inline a/c brackets so will most likely pick up a small block to replace

Re: Score
Great buy!! What kind of knucklehead has enough ambition to pull the hood off and chop through all that metal, yet no ambition to pull the motor once they did that? What were they thinking, hook a chain to another truck and yank it out? Maybe when they bought it the seller said the motor was stuck,so they figured that's what it would take to get it out (unstuck)
